Passionate curiosity is the foundation of learning—and the very fabric of progress.

This conference brings together top international specialists to share practical, forward-thinking insights across five streams: small animal, advanced small animal, equine (in English), practice management, and veterinary nursing. From neurological exams and ECGs to laminitis care and dental techniques, it’s a chance to rethink, refine, and reinvigorate your clinical approach.

Julie Dauvillier

After completing my vet school in Maison-Alfort (Paris, France) in 2003, I did my final year and internship in St hyacinthe, Montreal, Canada. I came back to France to practicein the field (emergencies, reproduction) and went to Argentina to learn embryo transfer on polo mares.

I decided to complete my education by a residency in internal medicine in St Hyacinthe and was became diplomate of the ACVIL (American College of Veterinary Medicine) and ECEIM (European College of Equine Internal Medicine).

I then worked for large practices in France and Belgium:

  • Clinique des Breviaires near Paris, where I practiced equine orthopaedics with Dr Philippe Benoit
  • ESMP in belgium with Dr Emmanuelle van Erck: sports medicine, respiratory medicine
  • Livet Equine hospital in Normandy: intensive care, neonatalogy

I finally created my own specialist practice, VET INSIDE in 2020. It is an ambulatory referring practice in cardiology, sports medicine, internal medicine, based in France.

Marianne Depecker

I am an equine internal medicine specialist (Dipl ECEIM) vet. I have been working since 2016 in a private practice in the South West of France, near Bordeaux. We handle a wide variety of internal medicine cases, primarily as second opinion but also as first opinion, within a diverse population of horses, ponies and donkeys from all disciplines.
My areas of expertise include respiratory medicine, neurology, endocrinology, neonatalogy and gastroenterology.
I regularly host webinars as part of continuing education for equine and mixed practice veterinarians, and I am a member of the internal medicine committee of the French Association of Equine Practioners (AVEF).

Sam Hole

Sam Hole BSc(Hons) BVM&S Cert. AVP(ED) Cert. AVP(EP) Dipl. EVCD(Equine) BAEDT MRCVS Clinical Director

Sam holds the European Diploma in Equine Dentistry – the highest possible level of qualification in the subject. Sam is one of a very small number of equine vets who have also taken the joint BEVA / BAEDT equine dental technicians exam. Indeed uniquely Sam obtained his BAEDT qualification after studying in both the UK and the USA before he started at Vet school.

Sam is an RCVS recognised advanced practitioner in both equine dentistry and equine practice. Sam has lectured on equine dentistry and acted as an examiner for the BEVA/BAEDT examinations. He has been co author of a number of published papers in various journals on equine dentistry. He qualified as a vet in 2007 and has gained experience in a mixed practice in Fife Scotland. Outside of work Sam is an enthusiastic rugby player and competes at show jumping. Sam was also the first Vet to obtain the RCVS Certificate in Advanced Veterinary Practice – Equine Dentistry. Sam loves teaching people about equine dentistry – so when His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales visited the clinic he took the opportunity to demonstrate how to perform a thorough dental examination.
